HUNTING LODGE (AS GABRIEL)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
DREAM
Your recent ordeal
is taking it’s toll on you, and you have several bizarre nightmares. You
wake up in agony, and start having a hallucination, where you see Ludwig hide
several scrolls through his castle. Baron Von Glower takes you back to your
castle, then Grace takes you to Rathaus Dungeon, where you will be safe.
RATHAUS DUNGEON
Walk down to the
other side of the dungeon.
You see Gabriel on
the bed, delirious with fever. Talk to him, so he knows you’re there for
him. Talk to him again, and try to reassure him that he will be
okay. He needs to rest now, so leave him on the bed, and walk back
towards the other side of the room.
Look out the
window. Look at the pigeon outside the window, and the church in the
distance. Step away from the window.
Open the door, and
leave the dungeon.
TOWN SQUARE
Walk right a few
steps, to the Post Office.
Ring the Post Office bell to get attention. The woman gives you
a LETTER FOR GABRIEL. Read it in your Inventory - it’s from
Baron Von Glower, expressing his desire that Gabriel should join him. Von
Glower also returns Gabriel’s TALISMAN. Leave the Post
Office.
Enter the Gasthof
Goldener Love Bar on the far right.
GASTHOF GOLDENER LOVE BAR
Mrs Smith is here again. Talk to her and work through all the
dialogue with her. When conversation is over, take a BREAD
ROLL from the basket on the table in front of Mrs Smith. When
you’re ready, leave the Bar.
PRIEST’S OFFICE
Try and talk to the priest. It’s hard to communicate with him -
partly due to the language barrier, and partly because he’s obviously taken a
vow of silence. He gives you his PRIEST’S CARD. Look
at PRIEST’S CARD in your Inventory. Look at the table,
and use your WALLET on the basket on the table to buy
some HOLY WATER. Leave the office through door on the
They leave in a hurry. Walk back down to the other side of the room, with
the linen.
Wait until the guard has left. Look at the chair next to the
linen, and pour your HOLY WATER onto the chair. The
guard returns. You automatically tell her that the chair is wet, and
she’s shocked, thinking that the young boy is responsible for wetting the
chair. She rushes away to report it. Walk left, back to the
Bedroom.
Place SILVER HEART in the basket at the altar - the Black
Madonna gives you a sign that she wants you to help Gabriel, and by extension,
Ludwig. Look at the chair on the right. Open door on the right - a
gust of wind blows in, and blows out the candles. You only have a few
seconds now, so quickly move the chair, climb up onto it so you can see all the
Heart Urns on the high shelf. Open the urn on the left - Ludwig‘s urn,
comment about the seating arrangement. Put WAGNER’S LAYOUT OF THE
THEATRE away. Explore the foyer. Look at glass door on the
Open door on the
PROP ROOM
This room would be
a good place for Gabriel to stay, to keep him safe. But you need to be
able to lock it. Look at theatre junk on the left, and an old set piece
on the right. Walk left (the Exit is just next to the door), to the
corner.
Take the PRIVAT SIGN that’s lying on top of the green
cabinet. Walk down to the main part of the room again.
Leave the
room.
because of the performance. Talk to the men working on the chandelier,
high up on the left - they tell you that things will be ready soon. Leave
the Auditorium.
FOYER
Walk right, to the
Side Hallway.
SIDE HALLWAY
Enter through door
in the back wall, into the Theatre Office.
THEATRE OFFICE
Gabriel is resting
on the settee. Talk to him - he’s not doing so good, and you’re really
worried about him. Look at your opera dress that’s hanging up.
Look at the Notice Board - look at the old playbills on the board, then
take the SEATING CHART from the board, then step away from the
board. Look at WAGNER’S LAYOUT OF THE THEATRE in your
Inventory again, and click on the ‘X’ to comment about the seating
arrangement. Now look at the SEATING CHART in your
Walk down to the
Centre Hall.
Paul, the Head Usher, has arrived. Show SEATING
CHART to Paul. Walk right to the other side of the foyer.
Go through door on
the left, back down to the Basement Hall.
BASEMENT HALL
As before, walk
left through the rooms, until you reach the air vent. Now walk up to the
yet. Walk down to the next screen.
AUDITORIUM
Talk to Georg, and
warn him that there may be some… disruptions during the performance, but he
should continue, no matter what.
Talk to the men
working on the chandelier, high up on the left again. They tell you that
some changes had to be made, since this theatre is slightly smaller that the
original Wittelsbacher Theatre, which got bombed in the war. The
chandeliers are the same distance from each other, but closer to the walls
now. Uh-oh… this can’t be good! The original layout diagram was
VERY specific! But the workmen have done their best… you just hope things
will still work as planned. Leave the Auditorium.
FOYER
Paul, the Head
Usher, tells you that the doors have to open soon to let people inside.
Time to get Gabriel to safety. Walk right, to the Side Hallway.
SIDE HALLWAY
Enter through door
in the back wall, into the Theatre Office.
THEATRE OFFICE
Gabriel is still
resting on the settee. Talk to him - you take him to the Prop Room.
PROP ROOM
You lock him in the
Prop Room, then you tell him about the Wittelsbacher Theatre being rebuilt, and
this theatre is smaller. His fever, combined with the wolf blood running
through his veins, makes him lash out at you. The anger in his voice shocks
you, but you can’t stop now. You have to keep going. You
automatically return to the Foyer.
FOYER
opera. The Overture starts. Walk right, into the Side
Walk down to the
Centre Hall.
CENTRE HALL
Look at the double doors leading to Mittel Loge. Use ROPE on
the door handles to tie the doors shut. Look at the double doors again,
done all you can for Gabriel. You just have to hope your plan
works.
PROP ROOM
Act II begins. You’re playing as Gabriel now. Look at the
useless junk. Try to open the door, but it’s locked. Walk left,
into the corner of the room. Look at the tall white suitcase - you see a
vent behind it. Try to open the vent, then use KNIFE with
the vent to pry it loose. Climb through the vent, into the Basement
Hall.
then go left, and climb the stairs, so you’re Backstage.
of TAPE on the right to look at it. Click on the TAPE again
to take it. Walk right, into the Dressing Room.
Take ENGELHART’S MINSTRAL COSTUME that’s hanging on the
clothes rack. Use ENGELHART’S MINSTRAL COSTUME on
yourself to change into it. Look at the dressing table, and take
the STAGE POWDER. Use STAGE POWDER on the
mirror, then quickly hide behind the privacy screen on the left. When the
actor walks in, use TAPE on him to tie him to his chair.
STAGE
Act III now.
Watch the opera play out, with you making your great acting debut. Things
are going quite well… until you start to change. Baron Von Glower is
changing, too, and before long, both of you are both wolves.
You flee from the
stage, and run down to the Basement Hall.
BASEMENT HALL
SAVE YOUR GAME HERE. This is a complicated maze section, and
it’s easy to get lost. Although you are a wolf now, there’s still a part
of you, Gabriel Knight, in there. And you know you have to stop Baron Von
Glower once and for all - he has terrorised Germany, as the Black Wolf, for far
too long. So you have to trap him. You can do this as
