LAKESIDE

 

You have a strange dream about King Ludwig II, down by the lakeside.  Then the dream turns to a nightmare, when you see flashes of a black wolf.

HUBER FARM INTERIOR

 

You jerk awake, after your strange dream.  Look at VON GLOWER’S CARD in your Inventory, to get his address.  Walk down to the other side of the room. 

 

Click on the newspaper on the right side of the table, to read about another wolf killing.  Open the door next to the table, and leave the farmhouse. 

 

 

 

 

HUBER FARM EXTERIOR

 

Use CAR KEYS with the car.

Walk left to the next screen. 

 

Go through the stone doorway, then enter Ubergrau’s Office. 

 

 

 

 

UBERGRAU’S OFFICE

 

Herr Ubergrau has a package for you - it’s GABRIEL’S PACKAGE that Grace posted to you in the last chapter.  Examine GABRIEL’S PACKAGE in your Inventory.  Read the letter from Grace, and look at the 3 books she sent to you.  Talk to Herr Ubergrau and work through all the dialogue.  When conversation is over, leave the office. 

 

 

 

 

MARIENPLATZ

 

Walk right to the next screen. 

 

Walk right a few steps, along the row of shops.  Find the Cuckoo Clock Shop, and enter it. 

 

 

 

 

MARIENPLATZ - CUCKOO CLOCK SHOP

 

Click on the CUCKOO CLOCK on the left edge of the counter.  The shop owner tells you it has an alarm clock in it, and it costs 60 marks.  Use your WALLET with the shop owner to buy the CUCKOO CLOCK from him.  You automatically leave the shop. 

 

 

 

 

MARIENPLATZ

 

Walk right, and continue right, until you reach the street musicians. 

 

Go up to Dienerstrasse. 

 

 

 

 

DIENERSTRASSE

 

Walk up to the next screen. 

 

Click on the police cars.  This is where the wolf killing took place last night. 

 

 

 

 

CRIME SCENE STREET

 

Click on Commissar Leber twice - he’s the man behind the red tape.  But he just ignores you.  You have to find some way to get his attention.  Okay, show ANALYSIS REPORT to the TV News Crew on the left.  Commissar Leber is not impressed by your antics, and drags you away from the TV News Crew.  He agrees to talk to you at the Police Station later, but only if you stay away from reporters.  Leave the crime scene. 

 

 

 

 

DIENERSTRASSE

 

Approach the Hunt Club entrance on the right. 

 

Enter the Hunt Club. 

 

 

 

 

HUNT CLUB:  FRONT HALL

 

Talk to Xavier and work through all the dialogue.  He clearly doesn’t like you very much.  When conversation is over, walk left into the Main Hall. 

 

 

 

 

HUNT CLUB:  MAIN HALL

 

Explore the room.  Click on the fireplace, then click on the table between the 2 chairs.  You pick up the magazine, but it’s in German, so you can’t read it.  Walk right, to the other side of the room. 

 

Have a look around.  Now click on the upper left exit. 

 

 

 

 

HUNT CLUB:  BACK HALL

 

You’re in a corridor, at the back of the club.  Try to go through both doors here - you won’t get anywhere, since one door is locked, and the other door just leads to a back alley.  Look at the plant on the right, and hide your CUCKOO CLOCK in the plant - you set the alarm, as you are hiding it.  Return to the Front Hall. 

 

 

 

 

HUNT CLUB:  FRONT HALL

 

Wait for a few seconds - you hear a knocking coming from the back door.  Xavier goes to investigate.  While he is gone, open the drawer in the podium, and take XAVIER’S KEYS.  When Xavier returns, walk left, into the Main Hall. 

 

 

 

 

HUNT CLUB:  MAIN HALL

 

Enter the door in the back-right wall, so you are in the Hall again. 

 

 

 

 

HUNT CLUB:  BACK HALL

 

Use XAVIER’S KEYS to unlock door on the left.  Now before you do anything else, you should return XAVIER’S KEYS, before he notices they’re gone.  Retrieve your CUCKOO CLOCK from the plant on the right, then immediately hide your CUCKOO CLOCK in the plant again.  Make your way back to the Front Hall. 

 

 

 

 

HUNT CLUB:  FRONT HALL

 

Wait a few seconds - you hear a knocking coming from the back door again.  Xavier goes to investigate.  Quickly open the drawer in the podium, and return XAVIER’S KEYS in the drawer.  Xavier soon returns, none the wiser as to what you’ve been up to.  Walk left to the Main Hall. 

 

 

 

 

HUNT CLUB:  MAIN HALL

 

Walk up through the door in the back-right wall. 

 

 

 

 

HUNT CLUB:  BACK HALL

 

Retrieve your CUCKOO CLOCK from the plant on the right.  Enter door on the left, into the Ritual Room. 

 

 

 

 

HUNT CLUB:  RITUAL ROOM

 

Explore the room.  Click on the animal heads on the back wall - some of them are endangered species.  Look at the display table at the back, and click on the skull and the notebook.  There are some names written in the notebook, along with some numbers.  What does it all mean?  Look at the photos and guns on the right wall.  Baron Von Zell catches you, and takes you back to the Main Hall. 

 

 

 

 

HUNT CLUB:  MAIN HALL

 

Talk to Baron Von Zell and work through all the dialogue with him.  After he leaves, walk left, back to the Front Hall. 

 

 

 

 

HUNT CLUB:  FRONT HALL

 

Leave the club through door on the right.

Walk down 2 screens, so you are back at the street musicians.

LEBER’S OFFICE

 

You and Commissar Leber come to an understanding - since you can’t read German newspapers, he’ll tell you Press Release information regarding the wolf killings, and in return, you’ll tell him everything you know about the wolf killings.  Talk to Commissar Leber and work through all the dialogue with him.  When conversation is over, click on the map on the wall twice, and you comment that the marking in the middle doesn’t seem to fit the pattern.  Click twice on the note on the right edge of the map to see Karl Grossberg’s address and phone number.  Use your NOTEBOOK with the note to copy down the phone number, so you have GROSSBERG‘S PHONE NUMBER.  That’s all you can do here for now, so leave the Police Station.

Go to Perlach.  If it’s not showing up on the map, you need to look at VON GLOWER’S CARD in your Inventory, to get his address.

VAN GLOWER’S HOUSE

 

Baron Van Glower welcomes you to his house.  Talk to him and work through all the dialogue.  Look at the mask in the cabinet on the right, and Baron Van Glower tells you that it‘s Indian.  When you’re ready, leave Van Glower’s house.

Click on the notepad on the left side of the table, to write a LETTER TO GRACE.  Look at the phone next to the settee on the right.  Use GROSSBERG‘S PHONE NUMBER with the phone to call him.  When you’re ready, leave the farmhouse.

Use CAR KEYS with the car.

Talk to Herr Ubergrau and ask him about Missing Persons.  When conversation is over, leave the office.

Head right, and continue right, until you see the street musicians. 

 

Walk up to Dienerstrasse. 

 

 

 

 

DIENERSTRASSE

 

Click on the Post Office on the right, then use LETTER TO GRACE on the Post Office door, to post it. 

 

Walk up to the next screen. 

 

Approach the Hunt Club on the right, then enter the Hunt Club. 

 

 

 

 

HUNT CLUB:  FRONT HALL

 

Walk left, into the Main Hall. 

 

 

 

 

HUNT CLUB:  MAIN HALL

 

Talk to Herr Preiss and work through all the dialogue with him.  When conversation is over, the other members of the club arrive.  Talk to Herr Von Aigner and Herr Henneman at the bar on the right, and work through all the dialogue with them.   Try and talk to Baron Von Zell and Herr Klingman on the left, but they‘re not being very friendly.  Talk to them again, using the following dialogue option. 

 

 

        -       Just wanted to grab a magazine. 

 

 

You take a MAGAZINE from the table.  In your Inventory, hide your TAPE RECORDER in the MAGAZINE, then replace the MAGAZINE WITH TAPE RECORDER back on the table.  This let’s you tape the conversation.  Watch the cut scene as Herr Henneman loses his temper with you, and storms out of the club.
