You
have a strange dream about wolves chasing you through the snowy woods.
You wake up, back in Gabriel’s bedroom.
Walk
down to the other side of the bedroom.
Go
through the door next to the bed, and enter the library.
LIBRARY
Search the left section of the book shelves, and find the LUDWIG II FAIRY TALE KING BOOK.
Read through the book in your Inventory. Leave the library.
GABRIEL’S BEDROOM
Leave
the bedroom, and head down to the Main Hall.
MAIN HALL
Gerde
isn’t here. I wonder where she went? Leave the castle through door
on the right.
EXTERIOR
Walk
left along the path, to Rittersberg Town Square.

Walk
right, and head towards the Post Office.
Ring the bell outside the Post Office, and you get LETTER FROM GABRIEL.
Read LETTER FROM
GABRIEL in your Inventory. Now leave the Post
Office.
Enter
the Gasthof Goldener Love Bar on the far right.
GASTHOF GOLDENER LOVE BAR
Mr
& Mrs Smith, the American tourists, are here. Talk to them and work
through all the dialogue. Talk to Herr Huber if you like, but he doesn‘t
have much to say. When you’re ready, leave the bar.
TOWN SQUARE
Head
left, and continue left, until you reach the church. Enter the church
through the ornate doors.
ST GEORG CHURCH INTERIOR
Walk
up towards the front of the church.
Click
on the door at the back right area.
Gerde
is here, weeping over a coffin. Click on Gerde - it seems she was in love
with Wolfgang Ritter, and grieves for him. Don’t interrupt her, let her
have her moment to grieve in private. Now you know she was never a threat
to you, you should do something to make amends. Leave the room, and leave
the church.
TOWN SQUARE
Head
down the path behind the fountain, towards the castle.

up the stairs to Gabriel’s Bedroom.

Open
the wardrobe, then enter the secret passage.
PASSAGEWAY
Head
up through the path in the back wall.
You’re out in the garden. Take some ROSES from the bush
on the right. Enter the secret passage again.
Enter
Gabriel’s Bedroom on the left.

Leave
the bedroom, and make your way down to the Main Hall.

Leave
the castle through door on the right.

Walk
down path on the left, down to the Town Square.

Gerde is still here, grieving over Wolfgang Ritter’s
coffin. Use the ROSES with
Gerde, and you place them on Wolfgang’s coffin, as a way of apologising to
Gerde. She accepts your apology, and gives you GABRIEL’S CAR KEYS.
Leave the room, and leave the church.

Listen
to the Tour Tape. Look at mural on the left wall, and listen to the Tour
Tape. Click on the closed wooden door twice, and listen to the Tour
Tape. Enter through the archway, into the Bedroom.
BEDROOM
Listen
to the Tour Tape. Click on the bed twice, click on the bedside cabinet
with the basin, listen to the Tour Tape. Step away from the bed.
There are 2 doors in the back wall - go through door on the right, into the
Chapel.
CHAPEL
Listen
to the Tour Tape. Click on the crucifix twice. Click on painting on
the back wall and listen to the Tour Tape. Click on the Black Madonna in
the corner. Click on stained glass windows on the right and listen to the
Tour Tape. Go down, back to the Bedroom.
BEDROOM
Go
through the left door, into the Living Room.
LIVING ROOM
Listen
to the Tour Tape. Look at painting on the wall, and listen to the Tour
Tape. Look at linen on the table under the painting. Walk right, to
the other side of the Living Room.
Listen
to the Tour Tape. Look at the swan on the display case. Walk left
to the Grotto.
GROTTO
Listen
to the Tour Tape. Click on the table at the back wall. Walk up to
the Study.
STUDY
Listen
to the Tour Tape. Click on paintings on the wall and listen to the Tour
Tape. Click on the desk twice. Click on the cabinet on the
right. Walk up to the Singer’s Hall.
SINGER’S HALL
Listen
to the Tour Tape. Click on the painting on the back wall twice.
Click on painting on the right wall and listen to the Tour Tape. Walk
down or left to the other side of the Singer’s Hall.
Click
on window in the back wall twice and listen to the Tour Tape. Click
on the door in the back wall, next to the window, to leave the Castle.

Head
down, and return to the Map Screen.

ENTRY ROOM
Talk to the woman at the counter, and work through all the
dialogue with her. You buy a MUSEUM
TICKET. Look at the displays on the left wall, read the 4
letters between Ludwig and Elizabeth, and look at the photos of Ludwig and
Elizabeth. Look at painting of Elizabeth on the pillar on the left, and
read the plaque about her. Look at painting of Ludwig on the back wall,
behind the woman. Take a step forward, so you are closer to the woman
behind the desk.
There
are 2 ways to exit the Entry Room. Walk left, into Display Room 1.
DISPLAY ROOM 1
Explore
the room. Look at display on the right wall, and read all 4 pages of the
diary. Look at photo of Lugwig and Wagner on the right wall. Look
at painting of Ludwig on the right wall - he looks so regal - and read the
plaque. Look at medals in the display case below the painting, and read
the plaque. Look at the red robe in the display case at the back, and
read the plaque. Look at the display case on the left - it’s very easy to
miss this. This display case contains Ludwig’s diary - read the plaque
about it. If only you could see the actual diary! Look at the
painting of Richard Wagner above the display case. Head down, and return
to the Entry Room.
ENTRY ROOM
Exit
right, to Display Room 2.
DISPLAY ROOM 2
Again, explore the room. Look at display on the left wall,
and read all 4 entries for ‘The
Last Days’. Look at poster on the left wall. Look at
The Midnight Sleigh Ride painting on the back wall, and read the plaque -
that’s the sleigh from your dream! Look at the display case below the
painting to see the letters, and read the 3 plaques. Look at Ludwig’s
Death Mask in the display case next to the painting. Head down, and
return to the Entry Room.
ENTRY ROOM
Talk
to the woman at the counter again and work through the dialogue with her.
If necessary, click on her again to continue the dialogue. Leave the
museum.

to Bayreuth.

Georg
welcomes you to the museum. Although the museum is currently closed, he
lets you come in and explore.
DISPLAY ROOMS
Look
at Wagner’s piano, and read the plaque above it. Walk left into the next
room.
Look
at the settee in the display case, and read the plaque. Look at Wagner’s
Death Mask in the display case. Look at the writing desk on the right,
and make sure you examine the architecture drawing of the theatre. Read
the letter next to the architecture drawing. Hmm, this theatre seems to
be very important to Wagner! Walk up to the next room.
Look
at painting of Ludwig on the wall. Look at the Ludwig bust. Look at
display case next to the back wall, and read all 4 plaques. Walk up to
the next room.
Look
at display case in centre of the room, and look at the model of Wagner’s
theatre. Look at the display case on the wall, and look at the production
design pictures above the display case. Look at display case in the
corner, and look at the opera costumes. Walk left to the next room.
You’ve
gone full circle, so you’re back at the beginning again. Walk back down
to the Entry Hall.
ENTRY HALL
Talk
to Georg and work through all the dialogue. Look at Wagner’s journal in
the display case on the left edge of Georg’s desk. Look at it
again. When you’re ready, leave the museum through door on the
right.

to Herr Huber, and ask about The Smiths. He summons them down from their
room for you. Talk to them and work through the dialogue. When
you’re ready, leave the bar.

Walk
down path behind the fountain, back to the castle.

tells you that Professor Barclay called. If she DOESN’T tell you about
Professor Barclay, you may have missed something in the museums or the
castle. Don’t worry, it’s very easy to miss things in those locations,
especially in Display Room 1 of the Herrenchiemsee Museum. Visit the 3
locations again, and check my notes above. Anyway, after you know that
Professor Barclay called, head up to Gabriel’s Bedroom.
GABRIEL’S BEDROOM
Walk
down to the other side of the bedroom.
Open
door next to the bed, and enter the library.
LIBRARY
Sit
down at the desk on the right.
Use PROFESSOR
BARCLAY’S CARD with the phone, to call him. He gives
you the name and phone number of his friend, Herr Dallmeier. Now look
at JOSEPH DALLMEIER’S
PHONE NUMBER in your Inventory, and use it with the phone,
to call him. You arrange a meeting with Her Dallmeier. Stand up,
and leave the library.
GABRIEL’S BEDROOM
Leave
the bedroom, and head down to the Main Hall.

Leave
the castle through the door on the right.

Use GABRIEL’S
CAR KEYS with the car.

on the Memorial Chapel twice. Walk left to the railing, then click on the
railing to meet Herr Dallmeier. Work through all the dialogue with
him. When conversation is over, click on the cross in the water
twice. This is where Ludwig’s body was found. Now walk down away
from the railing, then head right to the end.

Walk
down to the other side of the room.

the door next to the bed, and enter the library.
LIBRARY
Sit
down at the desk on the right.
Click on the typewriter to type a LETTER TO GABRIEL.
Sit down at the desk again, and use LUDWIG
II FAIRY TALE KING BOOK with the phone, to call the
publisher. The publisher gives you THOMAS CHAPHILL PHONE NUMBER, who is the
son of the author of the book. Use THOMAS CHAPHILL PHONE NUMBER with the
phone to call him. Thomas Chaphill tells you that his father wrote an
English translation of Ludwig’s Diary, but that he can’t let you see it.
When you’re ready, stand up, and leave the library.
GABRIEL’S BEDROOM
Leave
the bedroom, and head down to the Main Hall.

the castle through the door on the right.

Walk
left along the path, to Rittersberg Town Square.

Look at the bush next to the church on the left. The small
lilly bush has bloomed - click on it. Click on the lilly bush
again. Father Gertz gives you a LILLY. Step back from the lilly
bush.
Walk right, towards the Post Office. Click on the Post
Office door, then ring the Post Office bell to get attention. Give LETTER TO GABRIEL to
the woman, then give your WALLET to
the woman to pay her. Leave the Post Office.
Head
up the path behind the fountain, up towards the castle.
