THE SPACE COMPOUND
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
WALKWAY
You step out of the monorail, onto a
metal walkway in the Space Compound.
Follow the path leading down, on the right.
You get a phone call from your friend,
Olivia. She’s been seeing a lot of your
fiancé recently. And now, she’s taking
his side against yours. But you don’t have
time to worry about that now. Continue
up the path, until you see some stairs on the left.
Climb up the stairs, up to the
Rocket.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ROCKET
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ROCKET BASE
There are 2 paths here - stairs on the
left, leading up behind the rocket, and a path on the right. Climb up the stairs on the left.
CAGE
There’s a large cage at the top of the
stairs, and you can see an eagle inside the cage. Walk up, to the cage.
Try to use the foghorn on the side of
the cage, but it doesn’t seem to work.
There’s nothing you can do here at the moment, so walk left, to the next
screen again.
Climb down the stairs at the bottom
left.
ROCKET BASE
Take the path on the right.
PATH
Follow the path down, to the next
screen.
There is a small set of stairs
here.
Climb up the small set of stairs,
towards the Space Capsule.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SPACE CAPSULE
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
EXTERIOR
Climb up the stairs, and enter the Space
Capsule on the right.
INTERIOR
Talk to Boris Charov - he’s rather drunk
- and work through all the dialogue options with him. He tells you about Soyouz, a golden eagle
that keeps the bird population in check.
You quickly realise that you won’t get any sense out of him while he’s
still drunk, so you’re going to have to sober him up. Pick up the BOTTLE OF VODKA from the
ground.
Wait a moment, and Boris will decide to
go in search of more alcohol. You
automatically follow him outside.
EXTERIOR
Boris leans against the railing, but
he’s so drunk, he topples over it, into a large bin below. Before checking up on him, enter the Space
Capsule on the right again.
INTERIOR
Walk down to the other side of the
Capsule, so you can see the table where Boris was sitting.
Click on the cabinet on the wall, above
the table, to see a close-up.
Take SPACE PROJECT CANCELLATION
LETTER from the cabinet, and read about the Space Commission Project being
cancelled, with all personnel being assigned elsewhere. Also pick up the KEY from the
cabinet. Now exit the close-up.
Walk down to the other side of the
Capsule.
Leave the Capsule.
EXTERIOR
Climb down the stairs behind the
Capsule. They’re hard to spot.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ROCKET
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
PATH
You can see the rocket in the
background. Go down the path, to the
next screen.
Boris is fast asleep, in one of the bins. Maybe a splash of cold water would bring him
round. There’s a wheel on the railing
next to you - turn that wheel. This
turns the water supply on. Walk left,
back to the path.
Climb up the small set of stairs,
towards the Space Capsule.
SPACE CAPSULE
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
EXTERIOR
Click on the small Control Panel next to
the mechanical arm.
You see a close-up of the Control
Panel.
Now operate the Control Panel like
so.
1. Insert KEY into the keyhole on the
right.
2. Move the horizontal lever to the left.
3. Move vertical lever on the far left, up to
the top.
4. Move the last vertical lever, up to the
top.
Water pours onto Boris, waking him up
and sobering him up, in one quick move.
He’s not too happy about it.
Climb down the stairs behind the Capsule again.

ROCKET
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
PATH
Walk down the path, to where Boris is
now standing.
Talk to Boris and work through all the
dialogue options with him. You get a lot
more sense out of him now. It seems that
poor Boris longs to fly in a special flying machine created by Hans, but he
doesn’t now how to operate it. When
you’ve finished talking to Boris, head right to the Cosmodrome.
COSMODROME
The Cosmodrome is certainly impressive!
Head left, to the Launch Centre
it.
LAUNCH CENTRE INTERIOR
Click on the Control Panel on the right,
to see a close-up.
Pick up the VORALBERG KEY that’s
lying on the panel, on the left. Insert VORALBERG
KEY into the cross-shaped keyhole.
Hmm, it doesn’t seem to be working.
Remove the panel at the bottom right of the controls.
Click on both white wires, to put them
back into place, and restore power to the Control Panel. Now click on the lever at the top right to
activate the screen. Now look at the 4
buttons at the bottom of the Panel.
Click on Button #1 - Unauthorised Procedure. Click on Button #2 - Blood Sample
Required. Since it’s Boris that wants to
fly the rocket, it’s Boris’s blood sample that you’ll need. Take the BLOOD TESTING APPARATUS from
the slot on the right. Now exit the
close-up.
Click on the door to leave the Launch
Centre.
LAUNCH CENTRE EXTERIOR
Go left, back to the Entranceway.
LAUNCH CENTRE EXTERIOR
Boris is here. Talk to him.
He makes a deal with you - if you can help him launch Han’s flying
machine, he’ll tell you how to operate the Airship. Use BLOOD TESTING APPARATUS with Boris
to get his blood sample. Now climb up
the stairs on the right, and enter the Launch Centre.
LAUNCH CENTRE INTERIOR
As before, click on the Control Panel on
the right, to see a close-up.
Replace the BLOOD TESTING APPARATUS in
it’s hole on the right. Look at the 4
buttons at the bottom of the Panel, and press Button #2 to test the blood
sample. Unfortunately, the blood sample
is refused because the alcohol level is too high. Hmm, you’ll have to use your own blood, in
order to pass the blood test for Boris.
Prick your finger on the Blood Testing Apparatus on the right. Now press Button #2 to test your blood
sample. This time, it passed. Press Button #1, and watch through the
window, to see a giant clamp raise the flying machine. Press Button #3, and watch through the
window, as the flying machine (with Boris inside) is moved to the launch
position. Wait for Boris to communicate
with you through the radio, then press Button #4. Watch the cut scene, as you make Boris’s
dreams finally come true. He’s flying
Hans’s flying machine! He throws a CRANK
HANDLE onto the platform, just before he leaves.
Open the door, and leave the Launch
Centre.
LAUNCH CENTRE EXTERIOR
Head left, to the Entranceway.
