Lemmings 1

LEVEL 1:  THIS SHOULD BE A DODDLE!

Rather a simple level for the Tricky section.  Allow the first Lemming to continue right, and turn the second Lemming into a Blocker.  Turn the first Lemming into a Builder, and have him build a bridge over the gap.  







Turn the first Lemming into a Basher, and bash through the column, so he can return home.  







Now go back, and turn the Blocker into a Bomber, thus releasing the remaining Lemmings.  Sit back, and watch them march home.  





LEVEL 2:  WE ALL FALL DOWN

This is exactly the same as Level 13 in the Fun section, except that you have to rescue double the number of Lemmings.  


The Lemmings are released nice and slowly, so increase the rate to approximately 30.  Wait for the first Lemming to reach near the end of the walkway, then turn him into a Digger, so he digs straight down.  Wait for the next Lemming to almost (but not quite) reach him, and turn him into a Digger as well.  Repeat this for all the Lemmings.  







Don’t leave too large a gap between each Lemming, because you have to squeeze all 40 of them onto that ledge.  





LEVEL 3:  A LADDER WOULD BE HANDY

Turn the first 2 Lemmings into Miners, so they dig down & right.  The hole you are digging will force the Lemmings to turn around and go left - turn one of them into a Blocker, near the left edge of the cliff, to prevent the rest of the Lemmings from falling down.  Also place a Blocker in your miner hole, so not many of  them can get past.  Let your Miner keep digging down & right.  







When your Miner reaches the bridge, turn him into a Builder, and have him build a bridge over the water.  







Keep going, until you reach the cliff on the right.  Your bridge should be high enough to reach the top of the cliff.  Your little Lemming will turn around, and head left again.  When it’s near the bottom of the bridge, at the left, start building another bridge going up & left, towards the tunnel you dug earlier.  







Now go back to the group of Lemmings at the start.  Turn the Blocker on the right, into a Bomber.  







The Lemmings will be released.  When they are away from danger, turn the remaining Blocker into a Bomber.  





LEVEL 4:  HERE’S ONE I PREPARED EARLIER

Let the Lemmings head right, and climb over the rocks.  Notice the directional block, preventing you from going any more right.  When they turn around and go left again, turn the first Lemming into a Basher, and bash into the rocks slightly, to stop them from climbing back up over the rocks.  







When you have a nice hole there, turn the Basher into a Builder, to stop him from bashing left.  


Turn a right-facing Lemming into a Climber, so he can climb over the directional block.  Have him Bash through the first stone, then have him Build a bridge over the gap.  Continue the bridge all the way over the rocks, until you’re high above the cliff on the other side.  







Let him walk right a few steps, so he’s at the peak of the cliff, just before Home.  Now turn him into a Miner, so he digs down & right.  







When you have a decent hole, turn him into a Builder, so he stops mining.  


This next part is rather tricky, and you’ll need to use the Pause button a few times, to allow you to zoom from side to side.  


Turn your Lemming into a Builder, and have him build a bridge up & left, towards the previous high bridge you built.  







At the same time, go back to the group of Lemmings on the left.  Turn another right-facing Lemming into a Climber, and also a Floater.  







Make sure your 2 bridges join.  







The new Climber from the left should be nearly here.  Have him Mine a gap in the bridge, in preparation for the other Lemmings arriving.  At the same time, let your former Builder continue left.  When he reaches the directional block, turn him into a Basher, so he bashes left, releasing the rest of the Lemmings.  


Have a Lemming quickly build a bridge over that gap leading to home.  







Phew!  It’s a tricky level, but you made it!  





LEVEL 5:  CARELESS CLICKING COSTS LIVES

Time: 5 minutes



Turn the second Lemming into a Blocker at the top of the arch, allowing the first Lemming to continue on.  







Turn the first Lemming into a Basher, and have him bash through the chains of the balls.  Then turn him into a Builder, so he builds a bridge over the small gap.  Before he’s finished the bridge, turn him into a Basher again, so he can bash through the next ball & chain.  Repeat this with all 4 balls & chains.  When you reach the end, turn him back into a Builder, so he builds a bridge over the large gap.  







Continue the bridge to the tip of the crystal sculpture.  Now build another bridge over the final gap, leading up to home.  







Now go back to the Lemmings at the start.  Turn the Blocker into a Bomber, thus releasing the remaining Lemmings.  Sit back, and watch them march home.  





LEVEL 6:  LEMMINGOLOGY

Time: 5 minutes



You only have 5 Lemmings to take care of this time.  When the first Lemming is walking right, turn him into a Climber, and also a Floater.  He’ll climb out of the first hole, and float down to the next obstacle.  


As soon as you fall into the second hole, turn him into a Builder, so he builds a bridge up & right.  Continue this bridge, until you’re over the next obstacle.  







When he falls in the next hole, immediately start Building a bridge up & right, so he can get out again.  Make sure he is a Floater, and allow him to fall into the hole far below.  


Build a bridge up & right, out of the hole, then build a bridge over the gap, and on to home.  







Go back to the Lemmings trapped in the first hole.  Turn them all into Floaters.  Now in the bottom left corner of the hole, turn one of them into a Builder, so he builds a bridge up & right, out of the hole.  







Watch them make their way home.  





LEVEL 7:  BEEN THERE, SEEN IT, DONE IT

The Lemmings are released from the trapdoor, and immediately head right.  Turn the first Lemming into a Blocker, to prevent them from falling to their deaths.  Turn the next Lemming into a Builder, so he builds a bridge to the next pillar.  While he is building, turn the third Lemming into a Blocker, between the bridge, and the trapdoor above.  







This contains the majority of Lemmings safely, while allowing one Lemming to work.  Continue building bridges up to the next pillar, all the way along.  Also turn this Lemming into a Floater, so he survives high falls.  







At the final pillar, build another bridge, just to cover that gap.  Now let him float to the ground.  


Let him walk a few steps, but before he reaches home, turn him into a Builder again, so he builds a bridge up & left.  Continue the bridge, until you reach the pipe on the left.  







He‘ll turn around and head right again.  When he’s above home, turn him into a Builder again, so he builds a bridge up & right.






Continue the bridge all the way to the column.  This bridge greatly reduces the gap that the rest of the Lemmings have to fall.  


Allow him to walk left again.  Roughly halfway down the bridge, turn him into a Digger, so he digs a hole straight down through the bridge.  Repeat this for the lower bridge.  This gives you access to home.  







Go back to the group of Lemmings at the start.  Turn the Blocker on the left into a Bomber, thus releasing the Lemmings.  If necessary, repair that first bridge you built.  When the Lemmings are away from danger, turn the remaining Blocker into a Bomber.  Now sit back, and watch them head home.  





LEVEL 8:  LEMMING SANCTUARY IN SIGHT

The Lemmings are released at the bottom right.  They have to reach the top left.  Turn the second Lemming into a Blocker on top of the first post, while turning the first Lemming into a Builder so he builds a bridge over the gap.  







When he reaches the bottom left corner and turns around, immediately have him build another bridge up & right, to the next platform.  







Notice there is a small gap a the bottom right corner of this platform.  The Lemmings can fall through here.  Build a bridge to block this gap, and from the top of that bridge, build another bridge leading up & left.  







There’s another gap at the bottom left of this platform.  As before, build a bridge over it, and from the top of the bridge, build another bridge leading up & right.  







Notice the next gap at the bottom right of this platform.  Using the same technique, build a bridge over it, and from there, build another bridge up & left.  







Remember your group of Lemmings at the start.  Start building a bridge up & left, over the Blocker, so the Lemmings can escape.  Now watch them march home.  







When the Blocker is the only Lemming remaining, either wait for the time to run out, or Nuke him.  





LEVEL 9:  THEY JUST KEEP ON COMING

The Lemmings are released from the trapdoor, and immediately head right.  Turn the first Lemming into a Blocker.  Leave the second Lemming alone.  Turn the third Lemming into a Blocker.  Now quickly turn that second Lemming into a Builder, so he builds a bridge over the gap.  







As he’s building the bridge, turn him into a Floater, so he can survive the upcoming fall.  


Let him reach the direction block, turn around, and head left.  Immediately, turn him into a Builder so he builds a bridge up & right.  Continue the bridge all the way to the wall.  This lessons the gaps the rest of the Lemmings will face.  







Eventually, he’ll reach the directional block again,  This time, turn him into a Basher, so he bashes through.  Then have him build another bridge over the next gap.  






There’s now a safe passage home.  Go back to the group of Lemmings above you.  Turn the Blocker on the left into a Bomber, thus releasing the Lemmings.  When  they are away from danger, turn the remaining Blocker into a Bomber.  Now sit back and watch the Lemmings head home.  





LEVEL 10:  THERE’S A LOT OF THEM ABOUT

This level is rather tricky, and you will need to use the Pause button a lot.  Lemmings are dropping from both left & right, and you have to guide them all to the centre.  


Start by creating Blockers on the very right of the right cloud, and the very left of the left cloud.  











In the left cloud, turn a right-facing Lemming into a Basher, so he starts bashing through the block.  Turn the next Lemming into a Blocker, allowing the Basher to keep working, while not letting any more (or as few as possible) through.  







Jump over to the right cloud.  Turn a left-facing Lemming into a Basher, so he starts bashing through the block.  Turn the next Lemming into a Blocker, allowing the Basher to keep working, while not letting any more (or as few as possible) through.  







Jump over to the left cloud.  When you reach the peak, turn your Lemming into a Builder, so he starts building a bridge up & right, towards home.  







Jump over to the right cloud.  When you reach the peak, turn your Lemming into a Builder, so he starts building a bridge up & left, towards home.  







Continue the bridges on both sides, until they both reach the middle pillar, which is home.  You now have a safe passage home.  


Jump to the left cloud.  Turn the Blocker on the right into a Bomber, thus releasing that group of Lemmings.  


Jump to the right cloud.  Turn the Blocker on the left into a Bomber, thus also releasing that group of Lemmings.  


When only the two outside Blockers remain, turn them both into Bombers.  


Phew!  That was hard!
