6 Days A Sacrifice

INTRO

 

Your adventure begins, as you, Theo DeCabe, arrive in the Reception area of the Optimology Building.  Explore the area if you like.  Look at PAMPHLET on the Reception Desk, and take the PAMPHLET.  

Now watch the cut scene as Mr Garriot pushes you down the lift shaft, in order to prevent you from inspecting the building. 

 


 

 

DAY ONE

 

You wake up, broken and bruised, in a medical facility, deep underground.  Look around the room if you like.  That Guard by the door looks very familiar, somehow!  Talk to Dr Samantha Harty, who is standing next to you, and work through all the dialogue.  Talk to the Guard, and use the following dialogue option. 

 

        -       Urrgh…

 

The Guard approaches you and leans over you.  Quickly search him to find a piece of PAPER.  Look at PAPER in your Inventory to learn that it contains a sequence of numbers that don’t mean anything to you.  Luckily, the Guard didn’t notice you taking it.  Give the piece of PAPER to Samantha, who quietly pockets it.  Talk to Dr Samantha again, and using the following option. 

 

        -       Point to the console

        -       Point to privacy screen.

 

Thanks to the PAPER you gave her, she is now able to activate the privacy screen. 

 

        -       Point to the door in the North wall. 

 

Samantha will open the door.  The Tall Man will enter, and kill the Guard. 

 

After the Guard is dealt with, you and Samantha can talk freely.  Samantha explains that the whole ‘Optimology’ idea is a scam to cover up for the companies real, demonic cult activities.  She also explains that her and her friend Janine are being held captive here, and they are trying to find a way out.  You explain that you were sent here to inspect the building, but then you were pushed down the lift shaft.  Samantha urges you to find Janine, then she leaves.  Explore the room if you like.  Take BURNT PAPER from the desk.  When you’re ready, go through door in the back wall. 

 

You seem to be in a storage cupboard.  Explore the room, and when you’re ready, go through door on the left. 

 

You’re out in the corridor now.  Walk left a few steps, look at spectacles on the floor to realise that they’re your spectacles - they must have been left here when you were pulled out of the lift shaft.  Pick up the spectacles - the only thing that’s worth keeping is one of the LENSES.  Walk left a few more steps, and enter the door with a picture of a padlock next to it. 

 

This appears to be the brig.  Look at door to the cell, and take the MEMO on the wall next to the cell door.  Now leave the brig. 

 

Back in the corridor, head right until you see the door with a picture of the surveillance camera next to it.  Enter this door. 

 

Explore the Surveillance Room.  Look at the Control Panel - you can’t use it yet.  Leave the Surveillance Room through door on the left. 

 

In the corridor, walk right to the next section. 

 

There’s a big steel door here, and you see a woman walking away.  That must be Janine.  Follow her left to the next section. 

 

Enter door with the picture of the bed next to it. 

 

You’re in the Dormitory.  Janine is here, and she gives you the GUNS that Samantha requested.  Sadly, Janine is too afraid to leave the Dormitory, so you automatically leave the room with her. 

 

In the corridor, walk right a few steps, to where Samantha is standing.  Give GUNS to Samantha, then watch the cut scene. 

 

Back in the Dormitory, work through all the dialogue with Samantha and Janine.  When conversation ends, Samantha realises that you are all locked in the Dormitory until the morning.  The day ends. 

 

 

 

 

DAY TWO

 

You wake up the next morning, alone in the Dormitory.  Go through door on the right. 

 

Watch the cut scene with the boy. 

 

You wake up on the bunk.  It was just a dream!  Samantha tells you about her latest plan to capture Canning.  Talk to Samantha and work through all the dialogue.  When conversation is over, look at the locker on the left, and try to open it.  Hmm, you don’t know the password yet.  Take the POST-IT NOTE from the locker - to open the locker, ‘you only have to ask’?  Try to open the locker again, and enter the password OPEN.  Close the pop-up box, then open the locker door.  Success!  Look at the clothes in the locker, and take the KEYCARD from the top shelf in the locker.  Look at KEYCARD in your Inventory to learn that it’s for the Hub.  Now take BOOK from the bunk, then go through door on the right, into the kitchen. 

 

In the kitchen, talk to Janine and work through all the dialogue.  When conversation is over, take NOTE from the fridge.  Now go through door in the back wall, then go through door on the left. 

 

Out in the corridor, walk right a few steps.  The Guard will catch you and throw you in the Brig. 

 

You’re locked in the holding cell.  But don’t worry.  Just wait a few seconds, and the man in red will come and teleport you out of the cell. 

 

You’re in the Store Room again.  Look at corpse on the right.  Look at the disturbance that’s floating above the corpse.  Leave the room through door on the left. 

 

In the corridor, note the picture that’s next to this door - a row of 3 dots above another row of 3 dots in a rectangle.  Walk left a few steps, until you see the Guard.  Make sure the Guard sees you, then walk right, back towards the Store Room with the 3 dots picture.  The Guard will follow you.  Enter the Store Room. 

 

In the Store Room, watch the cut scene with the Guard and The Tall Man.  You escape to the medical room where you began. 

 

Phone Samantha, and use the following dialogue option. 

 

        -       I got the Guard away from the door. 

 

Now leave the room through door on the right. 

 

The corridor is changing!  Walk left a few steps, and talk to Samantha.  Watch the cut scene, as Samantha tries to take Canning captive… again.  This time she succeeds, and locks Canning in the holding cell. 

 

Talk to Canning and work through all the dialogue.  When conversation is over, leave the room. 

 

Walk right a few steps and enter the next door along - the door next to the big grey door. 

 

This is the Office, look at cult symbol on the wall.  Search filing cabinet on the left to find some PAPER about the Universe Of Technology.  Pick up DOCUMENTS that are lying on the top of the filing cabinet.  Look at DOCUMENTS in your Inventory - you pry out the STAPLE, and throw away the documents.  Use computer on the desk, and use the following option. 

 

        -       Release Level 1 Security. 

 

Leave the office. 

 

Out in the corridor, walk right until you see the door with the surveillance camera picture next to it.  Enter this door, into the Surveillance Room. 

 

In the Surveillance Room, use the TouchScreen in the Control Panel, and use the following options. 

 

        -       Change camera

        -       Camera 4

 

Now look at the monitor to see Canning’s office.  Use the TouchScreen again, and use the following option.

 

        -       Review input. 

 

Look at the monitor again.  This time, you see old footage of Canning working at his desk.  There’s something written on the notepad on the desk, but you can’t quite make it out.  Use LENS with the monitor, and you’ll see the Passcode for the blast door - 7759.  Leave room through door on the left. 

 

In the corridor, walk right to the next section. 

 

You see Samantha standing outside the big steel blast door.  Talk to Samantha and work through all the dialogue.  Now notice the small Control Panels on either side of the blast door.  Insert KEYCARD into slot on the left of the door.  Use keypad on left on the door, and enter code 7759.  Wheels appear on either side of the door, which need to be turned simultaneously.  Unfortunately, the wheels are stiff, and need 2 hands to operate… which is impossible for you since you have one arm in a sling.  You need to find some extra help.  Phone Janine, and use the following dialogue option. 

 

        -       We need your help to open the Hub. 

 

You persuade Janine to help you.  Watch the cut scene as Samantha and Janine open the steel door.  Unfortunately, Samantha is violently killed in the process. 

 

After the cut scene, you’re back in the medical room where you started.  Leave the room through door on the right.  Watch a scary cut scene.  The day ends. 

 

 

 

 

DAY  THREE

 

You wake up the next morning, still in the medical room.  Look at Samantha’s body on the bed.  Try phoning Samantha.  You thought you had turned her phone off before laying on the bed, but you must not have.  Phone her again.  You get a weird message from her.  It’s distorted, but it’s almost as though she’s trying to tell us something - 2741.  What could that mean?  Phone Janine and work through all the dialogue.  When you’re ready, leave the room through door in the back wall. 

 

In the Store Room, you see the Guard again.  But… he’s dead!  His guts were torn out!  So how can he be here?  He doesn’t seem to remember being dead.  Talk to the Guard and work through all the dialogue.  He seems a lot friendlier now.  When he leaves, follow him through door on the left. 

 

The corridor outside is spooky, just like your vision.  Walk right a few steps, to the door with ‘287’ shown next to it.  Enter this door. 

 

This is the Surveillance Room.  Use TouchScreen in the Control Panel, and use the following option. 

 

        -       Change camera

        -       Camera 5 (restricted)

        -       Enter Passcode 2741 (Samantha‘s weird phone message) 

 

Look at the monitor to see the circular chamber.  Now use TouchScreen again, and choose the following option. 

 

        -       Download current image

 

Phone Janine again, and choose the following dialogue option. 

 

        -       I’ve seen what’s inside the Hub. 

 

You automatically send her the image of the circular chamber, and she agrees to meet you outside the Hub.  Leave room through door on the left. 

 

Out in the corridor, notice the door next to your current door is open.  That wasn’t open before.  Enter the door. 

 

You appear to be in some kind of Cloning Room, with lots of tall cylinders against the wall.  Use the computer next to the door to read the file about Clanbronwyn Hotel.  Look at the refrigeration unit.  Look at Cylinder D - there’s someone in there.  Walk right a few steps, talk to Trilby and work through all the dialogue.  Could Trilby have been cloned?  Take BOOK from desk on the right.  Look at hat on desk on the right.  Now leave the room through door on the left. 

 

In the corridor, walk left a few steps, and enter the 2nd door from the left, into the Brig. 

 

Canning is still in the holding cell here.  Talk to Canning, and work through all the dialogue.  When you’re discussing Dr Samantha Harty’s work, use the following dialogue option. 

 

        -       I think she was a cloner.

 

When you’re ready, leave the Brig. 

 

Back in the corridor, walk right a few steps, and enter the door 2 doors down - the door next to where ‘Father’ is written on the grey wall. 

 

You’re back in the medical room.  Samantha’s body is still here.  She had an ID CARD with her picture on it, didn’t she?  Search her body… but the ID CARD is gone.  Where is it?  Leave the medical room through door on the right. 

 

In the corridor, head right, and continue right, to the next section. 

 

Janine is still standing outside the steel door.  Talk to Janine and work through all the dialogue.  She gives you DR HARTY’S ID CARD.  Now walk right to the next section. 

 

Back in the corridor again, enter the opened door, into the Cloning Room. 

 

In the Cloning Room, walk right a few steps, until you see Trilby.  Give him DR HARTY’S ID CARD.  Thinking about Dr Harty triggers some memories in Trilby, and he agrees to help you.  Both of you return to the big steel door. 

 

Hmmm, Janine seems terrified of Trilby.  Nevertheless, you all have to work together if you want to get out of here.  Janine and Trilby turn the wheels that operate the door, while you stand between them.  But… the steel door won’t open now.  Damn!  The fuse must be broken.  You’ll need to fix it, somehow.  Walk left to the next section. 

 

In the corridor, walk right a few steps, and enter the door with ‘287’ written on the wall next to it, so you‘re in the Surveillance Room. 

 

In the Surveillance Room, open the fuse box on the right, and look at the fuse box to see that one of the fuses has burnt out.  You don’t have a spare fuse to replace it, but you have something that would work just as well.  Use STAPLE in the fuse box, then leave the room through door on the left. 

 

Back in the corridor, walk right to the next section. 

 

Watch the cut scene with multiple-Trilbys.  Watch the vision in the Defoe Manor.  Watch the cut scene with the man in red.  Now work through all the dialogue with the man in red.  Watch the cut scenes with The Tall Man, and Janine.  The day ends. 

 

 

 

 

DAY FOUR

 

You awaken in the Dormitory, after experiences a nightmare about killing Canning.  Leave the Dormitory through door on the left. 

 

In the corridor, enter the next door along, so you’re in the Brig. 

 

Wait… Canning is gone!  He’s not in the holding cell.  Look at the blood splatters on the window.  It’s just like what you saw in your nightmare.  Leave the Brig. 

 

The corridor is changing again.  Janine appears… and she’s wearing a Welder’s mask.  This can’t be good!  Try to avoid her, and start walking right.  If she catches you, you’ll wake up in the Dormitory - leave the Dormitory and head right.  Enter the blue door, into the shed. 

 

In the shed, look at PICKAXE on the floor.  Take the PICKAXE, then leave the shed. 

 

Back in the corridor, let Janine catch you now. 

 

You wake up in the Dormitory.  The door on the right is glowing - enter this door. 

 

You find yourself in the kitchen of the DeFoe Manor.  Look at hole in the left wall.  Wait for Janine to get near to you, then use PICKAXE on the hole.  Something emerges from the hole, killing Janine.  If you don’t get the timing right, simply leave through door in the back wall, then return here again.  After she dies, the day ends. 

 

 

 

 

DAY FIVE

 

Watch the cut scene in the asylum.  You’re now in control of Dr John Somerset from 7DAS.  Walk right a few steps, wait a few moments, and watch the cut scene with the man in red.  After he leaves, take PARCEL from the dropper in door on the right.  Look at PARCEL in your Inventory, to open it and find the BLADE.  Look at BLADE in your Inventory to realise that it’s some kind of key.  Now interact with wall on the left, and it will open, revealing a locked door.  Use BLADE to unlock this door, then go through it. 

 

Climb down all the flights of stairs, witnessing several flashbacks as you do so.  The stairs get bloodier, the further down you go.  Finally, you’ll be in a cave. 

 

This is inside the body of Chzo.  There’s a body, restrained on a fleshy wall.  Look at the body, talk to him, and work through all the dialogue.  He introduces himself as an older version of Trilby.  When conversation is over, fulfil his last wish - use BLADE to kill him, and release him from this torment.  You gain Trilby’s soul as a ball of ENERGY.  Walk left a few steps - a younger Trilby is materialising and dematerialising on the floor.  Look at him to see his stab wound.  Use the ball of ENERGY on this younger Trilby.  Watch a few cut scenes.  The man in red becomes The Caretaker.  The day ends. 

 

 

 

 

DAY SIX

 

You’re playing as Theo again.  Watch the cut scene with The Caretaker.  When The Caretaker leaves, pick up DOCUMENT from the floor.  When you’re ready, leave the kitchen. 

 

Leave the Dormitory through door on the left, so you are back out in the corridor. 

 

In the corridor, head left to the next section. 

 

The steel door is still open.  Head up through the steel door, into the Hub. 

 

Watch the cut scene with multiple Trilbys.  After the cut scene, you’re in the DeFoe Manor again.  The Trilby clones follow you everywhere.  Look at PAPER on the table next to the door, and pick up PAPER.  Head through door on the right, into the Trophy Room. 

 

In the Trophy Room, one of the Trilby clones dies.  Take MACHETE from above the fireplace in the back wall.  Leave the room through door on the left.

 

Back in the Ground Floor, you’re one Trilby clone down.  Open the front door to let another Trilby clone in.  Climb up stairs to the 1st Floor. 

 

On the 1st Floor, another Trilby clone dies.  Go through middle door in the back wall, into bedroom. 

 

Another Trilby clone dies.  Take WELDING MASK from the bed, then leave the bedroom. 

 

The last Trilby clone dies.  Climb down the stairs to the Ground Floor. 

 

Open the front door to let 3 more Trilby clones in.  Climb back up the stairs, to the 1st Floor. 

 

One of the Trilby clones dies.  Enter door on the right, into the Bathroom. 

 

In the Bathroom, another Trilby clone dies.  Take APRON that’s hanging in the bath.  You now have all 3 items necessary to complete the Welder’s OUTFIT.  Leave the Bathroom. 

 

The last Trilby clone dies.  Climb down the stairs to the Ground Floor. 

 

Open the front door to let more Trilby clones in.  Head left, and continue left, until you reach the Kitchen. 

 

In the Kitchen, look at hole in the wall on the left.  Use OUTFIT on the hole - you automatically wear the Welder’s OUTFIT.  Watch the cut scene, as you slowly float down towards the ground. 

 

After the cut scenes, you’re lying in the darkness.  Reach out and touch the darkness a few times, until you are in the Basement. 

 

In the Basement, look at the Tarpaulin near the stairs on the left.  Search the Tarpaulin a few time, until you comment that the bomb hidden in the Tarpaulin is not going to explode unless it‘s exposed to some heat.  Now climb up the stairs, and try to go through door on the left.  Watch the cut scene, as the fire slowly spreads. 

 

 

 

 

6 DAYS LATER

 

Watch a few cut scenes.  Eventually, you’ll end up back in the body of Chzo.  You’re a floating demon now.  Float right, until you see The Arrogant Man at front of the screen.  Touch The Arrogant Man.  Now sit back, and enjoy the ending.
