MANSION

MANSION EXTERIOR

 

You persuade Don to leave his Darkroom, and have a picnic with you, outside, in the garden.  But he’s clearly not happy about it.  After getting a bad headache, he goes inside to rest.  After he leaves, you see someone watching you from behind the tree.  Examine the tree… you meet Cyrus.  Apparently, Cyrus and his mum live in the barn you saw earlier.  His mum is in trouble, and Cyrus asks you to come and help.  Follow him, up through the metal gate. 

 

Head down through the gate, towards the mansion.  Go left towards the barn. 

 

Enter the barn. 

 

 

 

 

BARN

 

Someone is calling for help.  Walk left, to the other end of the barn. 

 

Cyrus is here… along with his mum, Harriet, who has fallen through the hayloft above.  All you can see, is her dangling feet!  You need to help her, before she falls and hurts herself.  Talk to Cyrus to ask him what happened.  Climb up the ladder on the right.  Try to pull her free - it’s no use.  Take the RAKE that’s lying against the wall, and use it with the pulley on the right, to pull the pulley towards you.  Attach the pulley to Harriet.  Cyrus pulls the pulley from below, thus, pulling Harriet free.  She climbs down to safety.  Look in the hole that Harriet was stuck in - you see a NAIL.  Use your HAMMER with the NAIL to pull it from the wooden boards.  Now Exit from the close-up.  Climb down the ladder again. 

 

Talk to Harriet, and tell her she has to leave the barn, since this is private property.  She asks if her and Cyrus can stay in the barn, and she offers that they both work for you if you let them stay - Cyrus can do yard work, and she’ll work around the mansion.  You agree, and you tell them they can start tomorrow.  Walk down & left. 

 

Talk to Harriet.  Talk to Cyrus.  Now walk up, to leave the barn. 

 

 

 

 

MANSION EXTERIOR

 

Walk down towards the mansion. 

 

Open the front door, and enter the mansion. 

 

 

 

 

GROUND FLOOR ENTRANCE HALL

 

Look at the Fortune Teller Booth on the right to get another fortune - ‘Evil Is Watching You.  Look For Friends’.  Head down & left, towards the harpsichord. 

 

Use the harpsichord, to hear it play music.  Walk behind the bar counter, and look at the bottle of absinthe - more of it is missing.  Leave the bar counter. 

 

Walk down & left, then go through door on the left, into the Dining Room. 

 

 

 

 

DINING ROOM

 

Head up to the Kitchen. 

 

 

 

 

KITCHEN

 

Open door on the right, and step into the Pantry. 

 

 

 

 

PANTRY

 

Turn on the light in the Pantry.  Open the trap door, then climb down into the Wine Cellar. 

 

 

 

 

WINE CELLAR

 

You hear someone weeping.  Follow the sound left. 

 

Go through the metal gate. 

 

A ghostly reaches out for you, from behind.   *shudder*   Make your way back up to the Kitchen. 

 

 

 

 

KITCHEN

 

Head down, then up & left to the Dining Room. 

 

 

 

 

DINING ROOM

 

Go right, to the Ground Floor Entrance Hall. 

 

 

 

 

GROUND FLOOR ENTRANCE HALL

 

Go to the other end of the Hall, then climb up the stairs to the 1st Floor Hallway. 

 

 

 

 

1ST FLOOR HALLWAY

 

Walk up to the next section of the Hallway. 

 

Knock on the Bathroom \ Darkroom door on the left, where Don has been hiding.  There’s no reply.  Head through door on the right, which is the stairs leading up to the 2nd Floor. 

 

 

 

 

2ND FLOOR HALLWAY

 

Look at the door in the back wall, on the right.  The KEY is still stuck in the lock.  Use NEWSPAPER with the bottom of the door, to act as a tray.  Use NAIL with the door, and you push the KEY out.  Now pull the NEWSPAPER back out from under the door, to get the KEY.  ALTERNATIVELY, use NAIL in the door, without using the NEWSPAPER first.  The KEY falls to the floor.  Use your POKER with the bottom part of the door, to hook it out.  When you have the KEY, use this KEY in the door to unlock it.  Make sure you use this new KEY, not the KEY you had before.  Now open the door, and enter the Attic. 

 

 

 

 

ATTIC

 

Open door on the right, and enter the Tower Room. 

 

 

 

 

TOWER ROOM

 

It looks like someone was kept prisoner in this room.  Take the BOOK from the chest of drawers.  Zoltan gave this book to Malcolm.  Sit down on the bed on the right, if you like.  Look out the window - what a fantastic view.  Exit the close-up.  You can’t do anything else here, so leave the room. 

 

 

 

 

ATTIC

 

Leave the Attic. 

 

 

 

 

 

2ND FLOOR HALLWAY

 

Walk down to the next part of the Hallway. 

 

If you haven’t heard it before, you’ll hear a baby crying now.  Enter door the Nursery at the bottom-right. 

 

 

 

 

NURSERY

 

The rocking chair moves, and a woman starts singing to the baby.  After a while, you automatically leave the room. 

 

 

 

 

2ND FLOOR HALLWAY

 

Walk left, to the next part of the Hallway. 

 

Enter Conservatory on the left. 

 

 

 

 

CONSERVATORY

 

Look at the unfinished painting on the left - something has been added to it.  Leave the Conservatory. 

 

 

 

 

2ND FLOOR HALLWAY

 

Go right, into your Bedroom. 

 

 

 

 

DON & ADRIENNE’S BEDROOM

 

Walk down to the other end of your bedroom. 

 

Look at your laptop, which is on the desk under the window.  In amongst the garbled text, is a warning message - ’You Have Danger’.  Close your laptop.  Now turn around, and leave the Bedroom. 

 

 

 

 

2ND FLOOR HALLWAY

 

Walk down to the other end of the Hallway. 

 

Continue down the Hallway.  Climb down the stairs in the back wall, down to the 1st Floor Hallway. 

 

 

 

 

1ST  FLOOR HALLWAY

 

Make your way down to the Ground Floor Entrance Hall. 

 

 

 

 

GROUND FLOOR ENTRANCE HALL

 

Go through the front door, and leave the Mansion. 

 

 

 

 

MANSION EXTERIOR

 

Walk down, to where your car is parked.  Use the car, and head into town.

Walk left, to the house. 

 

 

 

 

HOUSE

 

Open the gate, and enter the garden.  Knock on the front door.  The same woman from yesterday answers.  Give her the BOOK you found in the Tower Room, and she will let you in to see Malcolm. 

 

After a quick chat with Malcolm, he asks you to leave. 

 

Walk up & right, into town. 

 

 

 

 

TOWN STREET

 

Enter Robert Thompkins Realty. 

 

 

 

 

ROBERT THOMPKINS REALTY

 

Talk to Robert.  He tells you that a phone man will be arriving at your mansion tomorrow, to install telephone service.  Leave his office. 

 

 

 

 

TOWN STREET

 

Enter Lou Ann’s Antiques. 

 

 

 

 

LOU ANN’S ANTIQUES

 

Lou Ann shows you her mother’s old scrap book containing articles about the history of your mansion, as well as Carno himself.  She won’t let you take it away with you, but you can look at this book any time you want.  Look at it now - it’s sitting on the display case at the back wall - and flip through all the pages to see various gruesome articles about Carno.  When you’re ready, leave the shop. 

 

 

 

 

TOWN STREET

 

Walk down to your car. 

 

 

 

 

EDGE OF TOWN

 

Use your car to return to your Mansion.

As soon as you arrive back at the Mansion, Don confronts you, demanding to know where you’ve been.  He’s getting worse!
