INTRO
Aboard the ship The
Glutomax, a valuable statue known as Eye Of The Kraken has been stolen.
You, Abdullah, have been asked to recover the statue, before it’s used to
awaken the Great Kraken.
DOOR #1 - ABDULLAH’S CABIN
After your friend Aboubakar leaves, examine all your items in your
Inventory. Make sure to read the MESSAGE FROM TITIAN, and
look at the TOP SECRET LETTER. Explore everything in your
cabin. Things that you look at, are added to conversation
dialogues. Look at your travelling chest, and open your travelling
chest. Oh dear! What has happened to all your clothes? The
chest is full of grain bags! Look at the parrot, and talk to the
parrot. My, what colourful language! Look at porthole. Look
at cushion. Look at table. Look at TEAPOT, and
take TEAPOT from the table. Look at SABER and
take SABER that’s lying next to your bed. Look at
bed. Look at hookah. Look at plant. When you’re ready, leave
your cabin.
CORRIDOR
By some bizarre
twist, the door you exit into the corridor, is not the door to your
cabin. Your cabin is Door #1. Look at paintings on the wall, and
look behind the paintings. Okay, now knock on Door #2, and enter
Fitzcarraldo’s cabin.
DOOR #2 - FITZCARRALDO’S CABIN
Look at machine. Look at camera on top of the machine. Look
at bed. Look at plans on the wall. Look at gramophone, use
gramophone, and listen to each of the tunes. Look at BANANAS on
top of the desk, and take BANANAS. Look at BINOCULARS on
top of the desk. Now talk to Fitzcarraldo and work through all the
dialogue. Note that Fitzarraldo will lend you his BINOCULARS,
if you can persuade the opera singer in the cabin next door, to give him a
recital. When conversation is over, show your SQUID
STATUETTE to Fitzcarraldo - he has an identical SQUID
STATUETTE, which he gives to you. Now leave the cabin.
CORRIDOR
Knock on Door #6,
and enter Aboubakar cabin.
DOOR #6 - ABOUBAKAR’S CABIN
Look at the table,
and Aboubakar will use some shells to tell your fortune. Look at balaphon
(musical instrument). Look at masks on the wall. Look at
porthole. Look at hut. Look at giant chicken. Talk to
Aboubakar and work through all the dialogue. When conversation is over,
leave the cabin.
CORRIDOR
All the other
cabins on the this level are currently locked. Climb the stairs up to the
Store Room.
STORE ROOM
Look at the bell. Look at the barrels, and kick the barrels (hee
hee). Look at the cannonballs and take a CANNONBALL.
Look at rope that’s hanging on the wall. Knock on door to the Captain’s
cabin, and enter the Captain’s cabin.
CAPTAIN’S CABIN
The Captain is
reprimanding one of the sailors. It seems that the Captain’s travelling
chest is full of rags, instead of pigeon feed. Wait a minute… those
‘rags’ are your clothes! So the bags of grain you found inside your
travelling chest, must be pigeon feed for the Captain’s pigeons. You and
the Captain return to your cabin.
DOOR #1 - ABDULLAH’S CABIN
Both travelling
chests are taken to the correct cabins, and the Captain leaves, to return to
his own cabin. Look at your travelling chest - ahh, that’s better.
Now leave your cabin.
CORRIDOR
Climb the stairs up
to the Store Room.
STORE ROOM
Again, knock on
door to the Captain’s cabin, and enter the Captain’s cabin.
CAPTAIN’S CABIN
The Captain is affectionately feeding his pigeons. Look at the
pigeon cage. Look at portal. Look at map on the desk. Look at
poster on the wall. Look at astrolabe. Look at periscope and use
periscope (who are those men?). Look at navigation wheel. Look at
bathtub. Talk to the Captain and work through all the dialogue.
When you ask about the passenger list, the Captain will give you a list of the
passengers on board, which you note down in your journal. Show SQUID
STATUETTE to the Captain. When you‘re ready, leave the
cabin.
STORE ROOM
There are stairs
leading up from the hatch below. Climb those stairs, up to the back
bridge.
BACK BRIDGE
Open the door, and
enter the restaurant.
RESTAURANT
Look at barrel of shrimps, and take a SHRIMP. Look at
barrel of salad. Look at glasses of wine, and take a GLASS OF
WINE. Talk to Zog and work through the dialogue. Show SQUID
STATUETTE to Zog. Take SALT BOX from the
table. Talk to Rasputin, who is sitting at the table, and work through
the dialogue. Show SQUID STATUETTE to Rasputin.
Leave the restaurant for now.
BACK BRIDGE
Climb the stairs,
up to the Poop Deck.
POOP DECK
Look at chair, and use the chair. Look at mop. Look at
plant. Talk to Olaf and work through the dialogue. Show SQUID
STATUETTE to Olaf. When you’re ready, leave the Poop Deck.
BACK BRIDGE
Head through door
on the right, to the Front Bridge.
FRONT BRIDGE
Look at Francois
Villon - the poor man is being violently seasick. Look at cannon.
Look at anchor. Head right, to Fore of the ship.
FORE
Look at figurehead
of the ship (below you). That’s all you can do here, so go left, back to
the Front Bridge.
FRONT BRIDGE
Climb stairs, up to
the Back Bridge.
BACK BRIDGE
Enter through door,
into the restaurant.
RESTAURANT
Talk to Rasputin
and ask about Seasickness. He tells you that the trick to beating
seasickness, is to get drunk. Now leave the restaurant.
BACK BRIDGE
Head through door
on the right, to the Front Bridge.
FRONT BRIDGE
Give GLASS OF WINE to Villon. He rejects
your GLASS OF WINE, and makes his way to restaurant to get
drunk. You should also return to the restaurant.
RESTAURANT
Talk to Villon and work through all the dialogue. Show SQUID
STATUETTE to Villon. Talk to Rasputin and work through the
dialogue. Talk to Zog and work through the dialogue. Leave the
restaurant.

MONDAY AFTERNOON

Talk to Aboubakar and work through all the dialogue. Talk to

STATUETTE to Ophelia. Leave the Poop Deck.
BACK BRIDGE
Go through door,
into the restaurant.
RESTAURANT
Villon and Rasputin
are getting on well. Talk to Villon and work through all the
dialogue. Villon leaves the restaurant to confront Aboubakar on the Poop
Deck, and defend his honour in front of Ophelia. Talk to Rasputin and
work through all the dialogue. Talk to Zog and work through all the
dialogue. Leave the restaurant.
BACK BRIDGE
Climb the stairs,
up to the Poop Deck.
POOP DECK
Talk to Ophelia and
work through all the dialogue. Oh dear! It seems that Villon has
beaten up poor Aboubakar! The Captain has taken Aboubakar back to his
cabin. You should go and check on your friend. Leave the Poop
Deck.

to the Store Room.
STORE ROOM
Climb down stairs
to the corridor.
CORRIDOR
Knock on Door #6,
and enter Aboubakar’s cabin.
DOOR #6 - ABOUBAKAR’S CABIN
The Captain is
tending to Aboubakar. He needs ice to prevent permanent damange to
Aboubakar’s face. You automatically leave the cabin.
CORRIDOR
Remember that
Fitzcarraldo has an ice machine in his cabin. If you can find the
ingredients to power it, you could make the ice needed to help Aboubakar.
Climb the stairs up to the Store Room.
STORE ROOM
Enter door, into
the Captain’s cabin.
CAPTAIN’S CABIN
Use your TEAPOT with the bathtub to get some
water. Leave the cabin.
STORE ROOM
Climb the stairs,
up to the Back Bridge.
BACK BRIDGE
Enter through door,
into the restaurant.
RESTAURANT
Talk to Villon and
work through all the dialogue. Talk to Rasputin and work through all the
dialogue. Neither of them are particularly concerned about
Aboubakar. Leave the restaurant.
BACK BRIDGE
Climb stairs on the
left, up to the Poop Deck.
POOP DECK
Talk to Ophelia, and ask about Sausage. She fetches a SAUSAGE from
Villon’s cabin, and gives it to you. Talk to her again and work through
the dialogue. Now leave the Poop Deck.
BACK BRIDGE
Climb down the
stairs to the Store Room.
STORE ROOM
Climb down the
stairs to the Corridor.
CORRIDOR
Knock on Door #2,
and enter Fitzcarraldo’s cabin.
DOOR #2 - FITZCARRALDO’S CABIN
Use your TEAPOT with the ice machine, to pour water
into the correct compartment. Pour SALT into the ice
machine. Place SAUSAGE into the ice machine. Now
use the ice machine, and after a few moments, take ICE from
the ice machine. Now leave the cabin.
CORRIDOR
Knock on Door #6,
and enter Aboubakar’s cabin.
DOOR #6 - ABOUBAKAR’S CABIN
You automatically give ICE to the Captain, then you
leave the cabin so that the Captain can tend to Aboubakar in peace.
CORRIDOR
Enter through Door
#1, into your own cabin.
DOOR #1 - ABDULLAH’S CABIN
Someone has slipped a LETTER under your door. The
letter contains instructions for you to leave the SQUID STATUETTE inside
the canon on the bridge, before you go to bed. Better do as the letter
says. Exit your cabin.

MONDAY EVENING

It is now
evening. Knock on Door #6, and enter Aboubakar’s cabin.
DOOR #6 - ABOUBAKAR’S CABIN
Aboubakakar is recovering in his little hut. He suggests you find
a way to find out who will collect the SQUID STATUETTE after
you leave it in the cannon. Talk to him and work through all the dialogue
- he suggests that you observe the cannon from a distance. Hmm,
Fitzcarraldo’s BINOCULAR’S might come in handy. But
Fitzcarroldo won’t lend you his BINOCULAR’S until he gets a
recital from the opera singer. Leave the cabin.
CORRIDOR
Knock on Door #4,
and enter Olaf’s cabin.
DOOR #4 - OLAF’S CABIN
Look at
chest. Look at Viking helmet. Look at fog horn, and use the fog
horn. Look at shield. Look at rock. Look at book. Look
at globe. Look at watering can. Talk to Olaf and work through the
dialogue. Leave the cabin.

Climb stairs, up to
the Store Room.
STORE ROOM
Knock on the door,
and enter the Captain’s cabin.
CAPTAIN’S CABIN
Talk to the Captain
and work through all the dialogue. Talk to him again, and ask about
Blabla to learn that he is writing to a Scandinavian colleague. Leave the
cabin.
STORE ROOM
Climb stairs up to
the Back Bridge.
BACK BRIDGE
Enter through door
into the restaurant.
RESTAURANT
Talk to Ingrid and work through all the dialogue. She refuses to
perform a recital for you because she has lost her opera hat. But if you
could produce a suitable helmet to wear as a replacement, then she would be
able to perform a recital after all. Now, where have you seen a helmet
before? Show SQUID STATUETTE to Ingrid. Now search
barrel of shrimp to find a CRIME & PUNISHMENT BOOK. Look
at BOOK, and read BOOK in your Inventory.
Leave the restaurant.

to the Store Room.

Knock on Door #4,
and enter Olaf’s cabin.

Talk to Olaf, and ask him about Ingrid. He agrees to let you take
his VIKING HELMET to give to Ingrid. Leave the
cabin.

into the restaurant.
RESTAURANT
Give VIKING HELMET to Ingrid. She agrees to

through all the dialogue. Now leave the restaurant.

and enter Fitzcarraldo’s cabin.

Talk to Fitzcarraldo, and tell him about Ingrid. He agrees to let
you take his BINOCULARS. Now you and Fitzcarraldo head up to
the restaurant to eat.
RESTAURANT
Talk to Ingrid and
work through the dialogue. Talk to Fitzcarraldo and work through the
dialogue. Leave the restaurant.
BACK BRIDGE
Head right through
the doorway, to the Front Bridge.
FRONT BRIDGE
Place a SQUID STATUETTE inside the cannon. You
automatically hide in the Fore section, and wait for… whoever… to come and
collect the statuette.
FORE SECTION
Hmm, you’ve been
drugged. Watch the cut scene as you fall asleep.

Search the cannon - it’s empty. The SQUID STATUETTE has
been claimed by whoever wrote you that note. Climb up stairs to the Back
Bridge.
BACK BRIDGE
Enter through door,
into the restaurant.
RESTAURANT
Talk to Zog and
work through the dialogue. Talk to Rasputin and work through the
dialogue. Leave the restaurant.
BACK BRIDGE
Climb down the
stairs to the Sore Room.
STORE ROOM
Climb down the
stairs, to the corridor.
CORRIDOR
Enter Door #5 -
Zog’s cabin. Don’t bother knocking, you won’t get a reply.
DOOR #5 - ZOG’S CABIN
Look at Zog lying on the bed. Oh dear, he’s been vaporised!
*gulp* Look at mat on the floor. Look at bag, and
search bag. Look at plant, and harvest the plant to get a FLOWER from
it. Look at picture of the Captain on the wall. Look at
laundry. Now leave the cabin.

Enter the door,
into the Captain’s cabin.
CAPTAIN’S CABIN
Talk to the Captain and work through all the dialogue. He gives
you a PASS KEY, so that you can enter all the cabins, and search
for evidence of the vampire. When you’re ready, leave the cabin.

Climb down the
stairs to the corridor.
CORRIDOR
Use PASS KEY on Door #4, and enter Olaf’s cabin.
DOOR #4 - OLAF’S CABIN
Look at the rock. Use your NOTEBOOK on the rock,
to copy the runes. Look at patch of GRASS under the
rock, and use your SABER to cut some GRASS.
Leave the cabin.
CORRIDOR
Use PASS KEY on Door #8, and enter Rasputin’s
cabin.
DOOR #8 - RASPUTIN’S CABIN
Look at chest, and try to open the chest - it’s locked. Look at
thing under the bed, and pull out thing under the bed. It’s a tray
of MUSHROOMS. Look at MUSHROOMS, and harvest MUSHROOMS to
get some. Make sure you push the tray of mushrooms back under the bed, so
that Rasputin won’t know you’ve been here. Look at icons on the
wall. Look at the still. Now leave the cabin.
CORRIDOR
Use PASS KEY on Door #9, and enter Villon’s
cabin.
DOOR #9 - VILLON’S CABIN
Look at lute. Look at portrait on the wall. Look at graffiti
on the wall. Look at bottles on the floor. Look at SAUSAGE hanging
on the wall, and take SAUSAGE. Look at the target dart
board. Look at CAMEMBERT CHEESE on the desk, and
take CAMEMBERT CHEESE. Look at paper on the desk, and read
paper. Could Villon be the thief behind the Eye Of the Kraken
mystery? Look at cards and dice on the desk, and take the DICE.
Look at books on the desk. Look at bottle on the desk. Look at
paper on the floor next to the desk. Look at stool. Now leave the
cabin.

There’s a coffin in
the middle of the room! Look at coffin, knock on the coffin, and try to
open the coffin - it’s locked. Look at plaque under the coffin.
Look at candelabra. Now leave the cabin.

STORE ROOM
Enter into the
Captain’s cabin.
CAPTAIN’S CABIN
Talk to the Captain, and work through all the dialogue. Make sure
you tell him about Vlad the vampire. The Captain agrees to nail Vlad’s
coffin shut, before nightfall. Give COPY OF RUNES FROM OLAF’S
STONE to the Captain, so he can get them translated. When you’re
ready, leave the cabin.

stairs to the Back Bridge.
BACK BRIDGE
Enter through door,
into the restaurant.
RESTAURANT
Talk to Rasputin and work through the dialogue. Use DICE with
Rasputin, and he will challenge you to a card game. Decide how much you
want to gamble with. Make sure you lose the round. Keep playing
(and losing), until you refuse to play anymore. Leave the
restaurant.

tonight. Talk to him again and work through all the dialogue. He
gives you a FETISH STATUETTE, which affects your luck while playing
dice. When you’re ready, leave the cabin.

Use PASS KEY on Door #7, and enter Ophelia’s
cabin.
DOOR #7 - OPHELIA’S CABIN
Look at wardrobe
and open wardrobe. Use phone in the wardrobe, to learn what time it is in
Denmark. Odd! Close wardrobe again. Look at books on the
floor. Leave the cabin.
CORRIDOR
Climb ladder up to
the Store Room.
STORE ROOM
Climb up ladder, to
the Back Bridge.
BACK BRIDGE
Enter through door,
into the Restaurant.
RESTAURANT
Talk to Rasputin and work through the dialogue. Talk to Ophelia
and work through the dialogue. Talk to Villon and work through the
dialogue. Put MUSHROOMS onto Villon’s plate, in order to
drug him. Now leave the restaurant.

TUESDAY EVENING

DOOR #3 - INGRID’S CABIN
You automatically
make your way to Ingrid’s cabin, ready for her recital. Watch the
recital, and when it’s over, you automatically leave the cabin.
CORRIDOR
Knock on Door #6
and enter Aboubakaker’s cabin.
DOOR #6 - ABOUBAKAKER’S CABIN
Hmm, your friend
Aboubakaker has been beaten up again, and he needs more ice to prevent
permanent damage to his face. Remember, you need water, salt, and sausage
to make ice. You automatically leave the cabin.
CORRIDOR
Climb up stairs to
the Store Room.
STORE ROOM
Rasputin is lying here… unconscious! Look at him - it seems he had
a bad case of soporific mushrooms. How on earth could that have
happened??? Search him to find a SMALL KEY. You hear a
voice talking to you. It’s Villon, who’s been locked up in the iron bell,
for beating up your friend again. Talk to Villon and work through the
dialogue. Place FETISH STATUETTE on Rasputin’s
body. Now enter through the door, into the Captain’s cabin.
CAPTAIN’S CABIN
Use TEAPOT in the bathtub to get some water. Now
leave the cabin.
STORE ROOM
Climb down the
stairs, to the corridor.
CORRIDOR
Knock on Door #2,
and enter Fitzcarraldo’s cabin.
DOOR #2 - FITZCARRALDO’S CABIN
Talk to Fitzcarraldo and work through the dialogue. Pour water
from TEAPOT into the ice machine. Place SAUSAGE in
ice machine. Pour some SALT in ice machine. Use
ice machine to make some ICE, then pick up the ICE.
Now leave the cabin.
CORRIDOR
Knock on Door #6,
and enter Aboubakar’s cabin.
DOOR #6 - ABOUKAKER’S CABIN
You automatically give the ICE to the Captain, then you
leave the cabin so that the Captain can tend to Aboukaker.
CORRIDOR
Use PASS KEY on Door #8, and enter Rasputin’s
cabin.
DOOR #8 - RASPUTIN’S CABIN
Look at the chest, and try to open it - it’s locked. Use SMALL
KEY you found on the unconscious Rasputin to unlock the chest.
Now open the chest, and look inside. It’s full of vodka bottles.
But there’s also a crumpled piece of PAPER, which you automatically
take. Read crumpled piece of PAPER to learn the recipe
for the ‘Ultimate Power Potion For Cockroaches’. There’s also a
list of 5 cities shown on the back. Interesting. When you’re ready,
leave the cabin.
CORRIDOR
Enter Door #1 -
your own cabin.
DOOR #1 - ABDULLAH’S CABIN
There’s another
anonymous letter waiting for you in your cabin, telling you to leave the REAL
squid statue in the cannon tomorrow evening. At least you have a whole
day to prepare! Leave your cabin.
CORRIDOR
Climb the stairs,
up to the Store Room.
STORE ROOM
Climb the stairs,
up to the Back Bridge.
BACK BRIDGE
Enter through door,
into the restaurant.
RESTAURANT
Talk to Ophelia and

Talk to Zog and ask
about the bribe. He’ll agree to spy on the cannon tomorrow evening, for a
hefty sum of money. Leave the Poop Deck.
