CHAPTER 3: THE SECRET MEETING

PLATFORM
You
begin on the platform on the far side. You can’t do anything from
there. Wait for a train to arrive, then when the train doors open, use it
as a bridge, to cross over to the near side.
That’s
better. Look at the statue of the Leader. Look at the box next to
the statue, and talk to the box. The kid in the box won’t let you back on
the train without a ticket. Work through the conversation with her.
Talk to the Hobo - his feet are cold! When prompted, choose either
dialogue option. Look at the bucket under the stairs - it’s stuck.
Walk left a few steps, and search the rubbish bin to see a Map of the Metro
Station. Interact with the Cute Pigeon, and note what the kid says about
the statue of the Leader. Look at Veteran on the left, and talk to
him. Pull the lever next to him, and notice the effect it has on the
stairs on the right. If only there was a way to keep those stairs
risen.
Well,
you can’t stay in the Metro Station for ever. Notice that there are
trains heading in both directions, but the kid in the box won’t let you on any
trains. You have to distract her. Notice how the lights in the
ceiling keep blinking on and off. Wait for the light above the statue to
turn off, then interact with the Cute Pigeon again. It flies onto the light
and poops on the statue. The kid will immediately start mopping the
statue. You can get the train heading either direction, but for this
Walkthrough, I headed right to Gork Park. Watch the cut scene with
Anna. When prompted, use the following dialogue option.

ENTRANCE TO GORK PARK
Talk to the Commissioner to learn that the festival in honour of
General Anzelmov hasn’t begun yet. Look at the red sock that’s hanging on
the barrier. Walk right a few steps, and for a bit of fun, use the helium
bottle. Talk to the kid - he seems to like shooting things. Talk to
the kid again, and he asks if you’ve seen Tigi (you haven‘t). Take
the RUBBER ROPE that’s
hanging above the kid. Look at the BALLOON that’s hanging above the kid,
and use your RAZOR
BLADE to cut the string and take the BALLOON. Now look
at the empty cage. Could this cage have contained Tigi that the kid
mentioned??? Look at the Sad Little Girl next to the cage, and try to
talk to her, but the kid won’t let you. You can’t do anything else here
at the moment, so head down the Metro Entrance, into the Station.

You’re
back in the Station. Take the train heading left to the Military Base.

OUTSKIRTS OF THE MILITARY BASE
Explore the area. There’s a tail flicking back & forth
behind the fence. Look at the tail, and talk to the tail. It sounds
rather fierce! Take ROCKS that
are on the ground. Walk left a few steps, and notice that the tail
follows you along. Keep going left until the fence ends… and a huge tiger
jumps out at you! You can’t get past the tiger, so walk right, and return
to the Metro Station.

ENTRANCE TO GORK PARK
Talk to the kid, Gutek, on the right. He tells you that
you need a PLUSH TOY to
get past Tigi the Tiger (this option won’t appear until you’ve actually seen
Tigi). But you have to tell him a story. It’s very tricky to make a
story that he likes. Remembering that he likes macabre things, he likes
shooting people in the head, and his dad is a conductor, use the following
dialogue options.
- In an underground cave, under Gork Park…
- It was inhabited by a brooding
executioner…
- … Who kidnapped small children to eat
- … A conductor
- … Who shot him in the head
After the story, he gives you his PLUSH CAT. Return
to Metro Station.

Walk left, and give PLUSH
TOY to the tiger. He won’t bother you anymore.
Now follow path behind the fence, and take the GREEN UNIFORM that’s
hanging on the line. While you’re here, look at the foot wrap that’s
hanging on the line, and look at the fresh grave with roses.
Walk
left a few steps, and look at the big red gate - it’s locked from the
inside. Look at the tank on the left, and look at the boots hanging from
the tank. Walk left a few more steps, and the tank aims it’s gun at
you. Yikes!
Look
at the side of the bunker, and watch the cut scene with the officers.
Talk to the Big Guy - he’s very depressed, and he’s mourning the loss of his
colleague. Look at Inky Hat, that Big Guy is holding. Talk to Lady
Officer - she thinks you’ve come to be drafted into the army. Look at the
secret document on the desk. Look at the Note on the desk - it gives you
some clues. Look at the yellow stockings that Lady Officer is
wearing. You can’t do anything else here at the moment, so leave the
officers for now.
Look at the poster on the wall of the bunker. Look at the
curtain next to the bunker. Look at the ANTI-FIRE FAN on
the wall on the left, and take the ANTI-FIRE
FAN. Look at the Doodad on the wall. Now head
right, and continue right, until you reach the entrance to the Metro
Station. Enter the Metro Station.

The General Anzelmov has arrived, so the festival is now
open. But he’s not happy because he wants some candy floss, and the candy
floss machine is broken. Comrade General commands you to take ANZELMOV’S PORTRAIT, and
place it somewhere where everyone can see it. However, you have slightly
different plans for it! You plan to keep it somewhere private, and use it
as a reference to disguise yourself. Take the ANZELMOV’S PORTRAIT,
then exit the close-up. Look at ANZELMOV’S PORTRAIT in your Inventory,
and take note of every part of the disguise you will need.
Look at the Outhouse building. Look at the JOURNAL hanging
from the wall, and take the JOURNAL.
Look at JOURNAL in
your Inventory and notice that it’s a fashion journal. Flip through all
the pages of the journal to see the various articles. Now go to the page
with yellow stockings with black zigzags, and use your RAZOR BLADE to cut
that page out. It now looks like bare legs are in fashion, and stockings
are out of fashion. Exit the close-up. Look at the various graffiti
in the Outhouse. Look at the crank, and use the crank to raise the flag,
and ensure that no-one else will come in here, so you can work on your disguise
in private. Place ANZELMOV’S
PORTRAIT in the Private Spot area, then leave the Outhouse
building.
Talk to General Anzelmov in his car - he gives you an ARMY DRAFT NOTICE.
He seems to want some candy floss before starting his inspection.
Look at General’s Adjutant, who is standing in the long line of
people waiting to get some candy floss. Unfortunately, the candy floss
machine is broken. Look at the candy floss machine to see a close-up of
it. Take a CANDY
FLOSS STICK from on top of the machine. Look at the
defective machine to see exactly what’s wrong with it. Look at the BALLOON, and use RAZOR BLADE with
the string of the BALLOON.
You should now have 2 BALLOONS.
Leave the candy floss machine for now.
Look at the stall on the left, which is holding a Song Writing
Competition. Talk to the Song Writing Competition Committee - you need to
sign up with the Festival Commissioner, before you can enter the
competition. Look at INK on
the stall, and notice that it is dark blue - same colour as General Anzelmov’s
uniform. Take the INK.
Look at the front of the stall, and take the letter ‘Y’. In your
Inventory, combine ‘Y’ with
the RUBBER ROPE,
then combine that with the ROCKS,
to create a SLINGSHOT.
Walk
right, until you see the Festival Commissioner in his booth. Talk to him,
and he’ll sign you up, so you can enter any competition you like. The
winner gets… a bag of sugar! Look at the Leader Board to see how well you
are doing. You need to get more than 45 points in order to win. You
can enter the competitions in any order, but you might as well start with
Bricklaying, since you’re standing next to it anyway.
BRICKLAYING COMPETITION
Click
on the brick wall behind the Festival Commissioner to enter this
competition. The aim is to lay bricks, but at the same time, not to fall
down any of the holes. Just click your mouse to switch between the left
and right lanes - you don’t even need to move your mouse to the correct lane, just
click it. Speed increases as you progress, so it gets very tricky after a
while. Keep trying, until you get at least 10 points.

Walk
left to the Shooting Range.
SHOOTING RANGE COMPETITION
Look
at the stall, and talk to the man. You have to shoot 20 ‘Capitalist’
targets. Pick up the gun, and aim for things that are associated with
America - money, hot dogs, diamonds, baseball, cigars, etc. Avoid
anything that could be associated with Russia. You’ll soon learn what you
can shoot, and what you can’t shoot. The counter at the bottom shows how
many shots you have left. It’s quite straightforward. Keep trying,
until you get 20 points.

Walk
left to the Cycling Competition.
CYCLING COMPETITION
You
need to have your own bike before you can enter this competition. Since
you don’t have a bike, there doesn’t seem to be any way to enter this.
Just ignore this competition.

Walk
left to the Song Writing Competition.
SONG WRITING COMPETITION
Talk
to the Song Writing Committee. Just by talking to them, you win enough
points to help you win the competition.
GORK PARK
After entering 3 competitions, you should have more than 45
points, thus, you are declared the winner. Go and collect your
prize BAG OF
SUGAR from the table on the right. Now leave Gork
Park, and return to the Metro Station.

Talk
to the Painter - you’re a big fan of his work. Choose the following
dialogue option.
- Make up something smart.
He moves away from his painting, to study the nearby rubbish
bin. While he is over there, look at his painting, and take the PAINTBRUSH. Look
at it in your Inventory, to realise that the bristles are the same colour as
General Anzelmov’s moustache. This could help your disguise.
Use RAZOR BLADE with
the PAINTBRUSH,
so you end up with BRISTLES and PAINTBRUSH HANDLE.
In your Inventory, use GLUE with
the BRISTLES to
create a FAKE
MOUSTACHE.
Walk left to the old Veteran. Give GRENADE to the
Veteran. He gives you his MEDALS in
return. Now catch the train heading left, to the Military Base.

Head all the way left, until you see the tank. Look at
the ARMY BOOTS hanging
from the tank. Use your SLINGSHOT with
the ARMY BOOTS -
you miss, and the gun is extended towards you. Again, use SLINGSHOT with
the ARMY BOOTS.
Again, the gun is extended towards you. The ARMY BOOTS are
within reach now, so take ARMY
BOOTS from the tank.
Walk left a few steps, and interact with the Bunker.
Give ARMY DRAFT
NOTICE to Lady Officer. She accepts your request to
join the army, and gives you RUBBER
PRODUCT NO. 2. She also gives you authorisation to use
the Sanitary Corner. Give JOURNAL to
Lady Officer. Wait a few seconds, as she flicks through it. She
sees your doctored article, and thinks that stockings are out of fashion now,
so she removes her own stockings. Take YELLOW STOCKINGS that
she hangs up. Talk to Big Guy - you convince him that he should go and
work out for a while. After he leaves, take NAVY BLUE PEAKED CAP from
the counter. Leave the Bunker.
Enter
the Sanitary Corner. Look at soot in the box on the left, and take some
soot. Choose the following option to paint something on your face.
- Dirty Harry
- Keep this look
Look at the tub of water, and pour your blue INK into the water
to turn it blue. Now throw your GREEN UNIFORM into the tub of dyed
water, then take the resulting NAVY
BLUE UNIFORM from the tub of dyed water. Open
medical kit on the right, and take LAXATIVE from
the medical kit. Leave the Sanitary Corner.
Head
all the way right, and return to Metro Station.

Look at the Hobo. Remember, his feet are cold.
Give ARMY BOOTS to
the Hobo. He asks how he can repay you, so choose the following
option.
- Ask for the votive candle
In your Inventory, combine VOTIVE CANDLE with PAINTBRUSH HANDLE to
create a PIPE just
like the one General Anzelmov uses.
Catch
the train heading right, to Gork Park.

Look at helium bottle on the right, next to the cage.
Use RUBBER PRODUCT
NO. 2 with the helium bottle to inflate it, so you get
a TYPICAL BALLOON.
You should have 3 BALLOONS now.
Return to Metro Station.

Walk left to where the old Veteran is sitting. Look at the
lever next to him, and tie all 3 of your BALLOONS to the lever. The BALLOONS keep the
lever raise up. Now walk to the right end of the platform.
The stairs are raised. Take ANTI-FIRE BUCKET from
under the stairs, and look at it in your Inventory, to realise that it has no
bottom. Now catch the train heading right, to Gork Park.

Walk left a few steps to the candy floss machine at the head of
the line of people. Look at the candy floss machine. You’re ready
to repair the machine now. Look at BAG OF SUGAR in your Inventory, to see
the recipe for candy floss. Place ANTI-FIRE FAN into the defective
machine. Place ANTI-FIRE
BUCKET into Machine Without Compartment. Pour BAG OF SUGAR into
the candy floss machine. Throw the LAXATIVE into the candy floss
machine. Finally, use candy floss STICK with the candy floss
machine. You now have a CANDY
FLOSS LAXATIVE (hee hee). Leave the candy floss
machine.
Walk right a few steps, and give CANDY FLOSS LAXATIVE to
General Anzelmov in the car. That should keep him busy for a while!
Now it’s time to don your disguise. Enter the Outhouse building.
Anzelmov’s Portrait should be displayed on the left. You
can see your reflection in the mirror in front of you. You can build up
the disguise in the Private Spot on the right. Use FAKE MOUSTACHE with
the Private Spot. Use NAVY
BLUE UNIFORM with the Disguise. Use NAVY BLUE PEAKED CAP with
the Disguise. Use MEDALS with
the DISGUISE.
Use YELLOW
STOCKINGS with the Disguise. Use RED SOCKS with the
Disguise. Use PIPE with
the Disguise.
Watch
the cut scene, as you pretend to be General Anzelmov.

Look
at the Documents in front of you, and flip through all the pages. Close
the Documents. Your car runs out of fuel. The Driver heads back to
base to get some more petrol, leaving you outside a Cave.

Walk
left a few steps, and meet Leshy. When prompted, choose the following
dialogue options.
- Choose either option
- Leshy is a moonshiner
He
agrees to help you, but he wants you to prepare a hot snack first.
Look in the cabin of the car, and take the SCENTED BABUSHKA that’s
hanging from the mirror. Look at SCENTED BABUSHKA in your Inventory,
and open it to find the SPARE
KEY. Take the SPARE
KEY. Use the car radio, and ask about everything to get
some hints. When you’re ready, leave the car cabin.
Look at the RUBBER
HOSE connected to the moonshine setup next to the tent,
and use your RAZOR
BLADE to cut the RUBBER HOSE. Look at it in your
Inventory - it becomes RUBBER
PIPING. Use the RUBBER PIPING to loop it into a LASSO.
Look at the pile of trash, and take the EMPTY BOTTLE. Use
your RAZOR
BLADE with the LITTLE
MUSHROOM to cut it. Look at the can. Leave the
pile of trash.
Walk left a few steps and look at the Warning Sign. Look
at the HUGE MUSHROOM,
and use your LASSO on
the HUGE MUSHROOM.
Look at bird on the left. Use SLINGSHOT with
the bird to make it fly away. Now look at the nest, and take BIRD EGGS from the
nest. Look at MOUSE
TRAP on the left, and take MOUSE TRAP. It
becomes MANGAL in
your Inventory. Combine MANGAL with
the BIRD EGGS to
get EGGS IN A MANGAL.
Now walk right a few steps, to the tent.
Look at the funnel in front of the tent, and place HUGE MUSHROOM in
the funnel. Look at the resulting alcohol stream that‘s flowing from the
tree, and use EMPTY
BOTTLE with the alcohol stream to get BOTTLE OF SHROOMCOHOL.
Walk right, to the car. Look at the fuel intake to get a
close-up of it. Use SPARE
KEY with the fuel cap to open it, then pour BOTTLE OF SHROOMCOHOL into
the fuel hole. Leave the fuel hole.
Now that the car is fuelled, look in the cabin of the car.
Look at the gearbox stick, and move it so that it’s in the middle
position. Insert SPARE
KEY into the ignition on the left, then turn on the
ignition. The car starts. Leave the car cabin.
Touch the hood of the car to feel that it’s still warm.
Place EGGS IN A
MANGAL on the hood of the car, so they become HARD BOILED EGGS.
Pick up HARD BOILED
EGGS, then use HARD
BOILED EGGS with the Dugout (the cave entrance).
Leshy emerges from the cave on his tractor. Climb onto the tractor.
Watch
the cut scene, as you travel to the Palace. Wait… Leshy betrayed
you! How could he?
